Kulgam Police Steps Up Anti-Drug Campaign with Awareness Drives, Inspections Across District

Kulgam, Apr 10 (JKNS): Intensifying its fight against drug abuse, Kulgam Police on Friday launched a series of awareness programmes and inspection drives across the district under the Nasha-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, aiming to curb the menace and promote a drug-free society.

In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS police spokesperson said, Continuing its sustained efforts against drug abuse, Kulgam Police conducted a series of awareness programmes across the district under the Nasha-Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

As part of the initiative, a dedicated awareness session was organised today at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Yaripora, witnessing active participation from students and faculty members.

The session focused on educating participants about the serious health and social consequences of drug abuse, while encouraging youth to take a proactive role as ambassadors for a drug-free society.

In addition, inspection drives were carried out at various drug and chemist establishments to ensure adherence to prescribed norms and regulations.

Reaffirming its commitment to building a drug-free society, Kulgam Police has urged the public to extend full cooperation in combating drug abuse and illegal trafficking. (JKNS)
