Srinagar, Apr 2 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday stated that LPG and other essential fuel stocks in the Union Territory are currently sufficient, but warned that a prolonged international conflict could impact supply.

Speaking to news agency JKNS, the Chief Minister said that, like the rest of the country, J&K has no direct control over global developments. He assured residents that current fuel and essential supplies are adequate for the next 10-15 days.

Omar Abdullah cautioned that if the ongoing war continues for an extended period and shortages arise nationwide, the Union Territory could also face supply disruptions. He emphasized that there is no immediate reason for concern.

Referring to a meeting convened by the Prime Minister, he added that the Centre has guaranteed uninterrupted supply of essentials through multiple channels. The Chief Minister also promised that any changes in the situation will be promptly communicated to the public. (JKNS)
