borkarSrinagar, Apr 2 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has relieved IPS officer Nikhil Borkar from the Union Territory to enable him to take up a new assignment with the Government of India.
As per Government Order No. 198-Home of 2026 dated April 2, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, the decision has been taken in pursuance of a communication received from the Ministry of Home Affairs and with the approval of the competent authority.
According to the order, Nikhil Borkar (IPS, AGMUT:2017) has been relieved from J&K with effect from April 2, 2026 (afternoon) to join his new posting at the Centre.
