Srinagar, Mar 31 (JKNS): Authorities in Gurez on Tuesday announced that vehicular movement on the Bandipora–Gurez road will be permitted on April 1 subject to favourable weather and road conditions, with traffic allowed from both sides in regulated time slots.

As per the advisory issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gurez as per news agency JKNS, vehicles from Tragbal will be allowed to move between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM, while traffic from Kanzalwan will ply from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Officials said that heavy motor vehicles will not be permitted on the route and all vehicles must be equipped with anti-skid chains. Movement will be allowed only after confirmation of road status by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

Passengers and drivers have been advised to check road conditions before travel by contacting the District Control Room Bandipora or PCR Bandipora, while authorities have urged the public to strictly adhere to safety guidelines for smooth and secure movement. (JKNS)
