They said he dedicated his pen to public issues, peace, communal harmony, and intellectual awakening. His martyrdom during the sacred days of Eid-ul-Fitr was termed an irreparable loss that plunged the entire Kashmir into grief.

Members stated that his scholarly, literary, and journalistic contributions will always be remembered.

President of Adbi Markaz Kamraz, Mohd Amin Bhat, in his message said that Dr. Bukhari was a visionary personality whose journalism reflected integrity, courage, and public consciousness. He noted that even in the most challenging circumstances, Dr. Bukhari upheld truth and sought to bring positive change in society through his writings. His martyrdom, he added, is a great loss not only to journalism but also to the intellectual landscape of Kashmir.

He further said that Dr. Bukhari had a deep love for the Kashmiri language, considering it a cornerstone of identity and cultural heritage. During his tenure as President of Adbi Markaz Kamraz, he rendered valuable services for the promotion of Kashmiri language and literature. Under his leadership, the organisation held numerous literary sessions, seminars, and mushairas aimed at connecting the younger generation with the language and enriching its literary tradition.

Mr. Bhat emphasized that Dr. Bukhari always advocated strengthening the Kashmiri language at educational, social, and literary levels to preserve cultural identity. He also played a key role in encouraging young writers and motivating them to write in Kashmiri. These contributions, he said, will always be remembered with great respect, and Adbi Markaz Kamraz remains committed to carrying forward his mission. He prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family.

On the occasion, Patron of the organisation, Dr. Rafiq Masoodi, said that the life of Dr. Bukhari was a shining example of knowledge, insight, and courage.

He remarked that the late leader made remarkable contributions not only in journalism but also in literary and social spheres. His writings continue to guide and inspire the younger generation.

Dr. Masoodi added that his memory will always remain alive in people’s hearts and that carrying forward his mission is the true tribute to him. He also prayed for the elevation of his ranks in the hereafter. (JKNS)
