CRPF 92-Bn Celebrates 87th Raising Day with Blood Donation Camp in Wadoora Sopore

Sopore, Mar 10 (JKNS): CRPF 92 Battalion organised a blood donation camp at its headquarters in Wadoora, Sopore, to commemorate its 87th Raising Day.

Around 40 units of blood were donated by CRPF officers and jawans during the camp.

The initiative was part of the unit’s efforts to contribute to the community and promote the importance of blood donation. The donated blood will be used to support patients at GMC Handwara.

DIG Naresh Kumar praised the donors, calling blood donation “one of the highest forms of service to humanity.” He emphasised that the CRPF’s role extends beyond internal security to active community support through humanitarian initiatives.

Speaking to the media, 2IC of 92-Bn Ravi Mishra said, “We celebrate our Raising Day by donating blood for humanity. Recently, CRPF organised a grand ceremony for Raising Day celebrations in Chhattisgarh.” He also thanked the GMC Handwara Blood Bank team, led by Dr. Manzoor Ahmad, for their support.

CRPF jawans of 92-Bn expressed their gratitude for being part of the noble initiative, stating that they were happy to donate blood for the community.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including DIG Naresh Kumar, 2IC Ravi Mishra, AC Ashutosh Kumar, Sudhir Sonavale, Bhanu Prasad Meena, along with Dr. M. Sai Aindhu and staff of GMC Handwara. (JKNS)
