Srinagar, Mar 3 (JKNS): The Meteorological Department Srinagar (MET) has issued a fresh weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting partly cloudy conditions over the next few days with brief spells of light snow over isolated higher reaches.

Forecast issued by MET as per news agency JKNS, from March 3 to 6, the weather will remain partly cloudy with a possibility of a brief spell of light snow over isolated higher reaches on March 4. Between March 7 and 9, the region is likely to witness generally cloudy skies with light rain in plains and light snowfall over higher reaches at isolated to scattered places.

 

From March 10 to 11, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy with light rain and snow over higher reaches at scattered locations. The period from March 12 to 14 is likely to remain generally dry, while March 15 and 16 are expected to be generally cloudy.

 

Farmers have been advised to continue farm operations. The MeT Department has also predicted a further rise in day temperatures by 1–2°C at most places during the next four days, followed by a fall of 2–4°C at many locations thereafter. (JKNS)
