Jammu, Feb 21 (KNC): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday administered the oath of office to Shantmanu as the State Election Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir during a formal ceremony held at Lok Bhavan.
As per news agency JKNS, With the administration of oath, Shantmanu officially assumed charge of the constitutional post, entrusted with overseeing and conducting local body elections in the Union Territory.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, Legislative Assembly Speaker Abdur Rahim Rather, members of the Council of Ministers, the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police and other senior officials. (JKNS)
