Shopian Police Concludes Knockout T10 Cricket

Shopian, Feb 18 (JKNS): Under the aegis of the Civic Action Programme (CAP), Shopian Police organised a Knockout T10 Cricket Tournament at Zainapora, Shopian.

The tournament, which commenced on February 13, 2026, concluded today with an impressive and colourful closing ceremony.

The final match was played between Zainapora and Kashew, in which Kashew emerged victorious by 07 wickets in a thrilling contest.

During the closing ceremony, SSP Shopian Sh Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary-JKPS, distributed cash prizes and trophies among the winners and runners-up, appreciating the efforts of all participating teams for making the tournament a grand success. The event witnessed a large gathering of spectators, sports enthusiasts and members of the local community from Zainapora and adjoining areas.

Addressing the participants, SSP Shopian assured continuous support from Shopian Police and reiterated their commitment to organising more such inclusive sporting events in the future, aimed at promoting confidence, youth engagement and social integration within the community. (JKNS)
