Jammu, Feb 10 (JKNS): National Conference (NC) legislator Tanvir Sadiq on Tuesday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has caused serious harm to Jammu and Kashmir by adopting policies that, he said, have eroded democratic institutions and stalled genuine development.

Talking to reporters, as per news agency JKNS, Tanvir Sadiq said the BJP’s approach towards Jammu and Kashmir has been marked by instability and uncertainty rather than growth and progress.

“The BJP has failed to act as a constructive political force in Jammu and Kashmir and has instead contributed to weakening its political and social structure,” the NC leader said.

He also took a swipe at the Leader of the Opposition, remarking that his statements reflect a poor understanding of the realities and challenges faced by the people of the region.

“Such remarks are disconnected from ground realities and do not help in addressing public issues or strengthening governance,” Sadiq said.

He added that political rhetoric lacking responsibility only shifts focus away from real concerns of the people and hampers meaningful political dialogue in Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
