CUS caps off successful campaign at sports meet

Srinagar, Jan 20 (JKNS): Cluster University of Srinagar (CUS) secured bronze medals in Football (Men) and Table Tennis (Men) at the 3rd Chancellor’s Trophy 2025–26, hosted by the University of Jammu. Competing in four events, CUS delivered strong performances to finish on the podium in two disciplines.

The Football (Men) team impressed with a dominant 16–0 win over Trikuta Group of Colleges, followed by a hard-fought 1–0 victory against Kashmir University. In the bronze medal match, CUS prevailed in a tense penalty shootout against Govt. College of Physical Education, Ganderbal.

In Table Tennis (Men), CUS registered notable wins over MIET Jammu, GNDU Amritsar and MZU Jodhpur, before defeating SMDVU Katra convincingly to clinch bronze.

The achievements underline CUS’s commitment to sports excellence and holistic student development. The Vice Chancellor and other senior officials of administration have congratulated the teams, coaches and support staff for their dedication and sportsmanship. (JKNS)
