Shopian, Dec 12 (JKNS): A tragic incident was reported from Check Chotipora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district, where a two-year-old boy lost his life after accidentally falling into a pond near his residence on Friday.
Official sources told news agency JKNS, the child identified as Mehran Zakir, son of Zakir Ahmad Kohli was playing outside his home when he slipped into the water body.
Family members and neighbours immediately rushed him to District Hospital Shopian in an attempt to save his life. However, declared the minor brought dead.
Police have taken cognizance and initiated necessary legal formalities. (JKNS)
