Abrar Rashid Reviews MP Fund Utilisation in Sopore, Meets Public Delegations

Sopore, Nov 30 (JKNS): Abrar Rashid, son of Member of Parliament Engineer Abdul Rasheed, on Sunday visited Sopore constituency to review developmental needs and discuss utilisation of MP funds with local communities and Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) workers.

As per news agency JKNS, He was accompanied by DDC Member Muzaffar Ahmad Dar, AIP PRO Aijaz Ahmad, Kreeri Constituency Incharge Naseer Ahmad Wagoora, programme organiser Mohammad Iqbal Wani, and several AIP workers.

Civil society representatives, including Sopore Civil Society Chairman Aashiq Hussain Zaki, noted educationist Aijaz Ahmad Masoodi, and other dignitaries were also present during the visit.

During interactions, Abrar Rashid informed that Sopore Constituency receives ₹30 lakh per year from the MP fund, and emphasised transparent, need-based utilisation of resources for public welfare. He further said that around 18 constituencies falling under MP Engineer Rasheed will receive their respective shares as per requirements.

The delegation also visited different areas of the Zaingair belt, including Botingoo and nearby villages, to assess local developmental issues. Discussions were held with residents and AIP workers regarding infrastructure gaps, priority works, and mechanisms to ensure timely execution of MP-funded projects.

Speaking to media persons, Abrar Rashid said, “We met media representatives, trade bodies, and various delegations. Our discussion focused on how MP funds can be utilised effectively for the welfare of the people. The goal is to ensure transparency and meaningful development across all areas.”

The visit marked the beginning of a broader outreach programme aimed at improving coordination between the MP office, local representatives, and the public. (JKNS)
