Budgam, Nov 19 (JKNS): Budgam Police on Wednesday launched a fresh inspection drive across the district to check compliance at chemical, fertilizer and hardware outlets.
In a Statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads, Budgam Police on Wednesday conducted a district-wide inspection drive to prevent the misuse of agricultural chemicals and ensure strict compliance with safety regulations across chemical, fertilizer and hardware shops.
Surprise checks were carried out by teams from Police Stations and Police Posts under the supervision of senior officers. The inspections focused on verifying stock records, sale registers, licenses, storage conditions and overall adherence to safety protocols to curb any illegal diversion or misuse of regulated materials.
Budgam Police stated that such drives will continue to promote accountability, ensure lawful trade practices and enhance public safety. Shopkeepers were advised to maintain proper records and cooperate fully during inspections, it reads. (JKNS)
