Budgam, Nov 15 (JKNS): Amid deeply emotional scenes, thousands of mourners gathered on Saturday to offer funeral prayers for Naib Tehsildar Muzaffar Ahmad, who tragically lost his life in the accidental explosion at Nowgam Police Station.
As per news agency JKNS, He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Soibugh, where grief-stricken relatives, colleagues, and locals bid him a final, heart-wrenching goodbye.
According to reports, newly elected Budgam MLA Agha Muntazir Mehdi attended the funeral and stood with the bereaved family during the burial, expressing solidarity in their moment of immense loss.
The body was carried through the village amid emotional slogans, with mourners chanting “Shaheed ki jo maut hai, woh qoum ki hayat hai,” as they prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Muzaffar Ahmad was among the victims of the high-intensity blast that occurred at Nowgam Police Station on Friday evening, an incident authorities have described as an accidental detonation of seized explosive material. (JKNS)
