Govt Orders Major Shake-Up in Transport Department

Srinagar, Nov 14 (JKNS): The Jammu & Kashmir Transport Department on Friday issued a fresh order announcing a reshuffle of ARTOs and I/C ARTOs across several districts, relieving all officers from their current positions with immediate effect.

According to the order issued by the Secretary to the Government, Transport Department, and accessed by news agency JKNS, Muddasir Ahmed (Jr. KAS) has been transferred from Bandipora and posted in Baramulla.

Mukhtiar Ahmed Sofi, presently serving in Baramulla, has been posted to Bandipora, while Wajahat Qayoom has been moved from Ganderbal and appointed as I/C ARTO, BOI Srinagar.

The order further states that former I/C ARTO BOI Srinagar, Sheikh Manzoor Ahmed, has been shifted to Ganderbal. Neeraj Sharma has been transferred from Reasi to Samba, and Nasir Ahmed (Jr. KAS) who was awaiting posting has now been assigned Reasi.

Meanwhile, Mudassir Iqbal (Jr. KAS) has been moved from ARTO BOI Jammu to Udhampur, and Jugal Kishore Sharma has been transferred from Udhampur to ARTO BOI Jammu.

Officials confirmed that the reshuffle takes effect immediately. (JKNS)
