Srinagar, Oct 30 (JKNS): Kulgam MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Thursday urged the Jammu and Kashmir government to frame a fresh media policy to ensure equitable distribution of advertisements and safeguard the rights of journalists.
Speaking in the Assembly, Tarigami as per news agency JKNS highlighted that several media houses, including Greater Kashmir, have faced continuous suspension of government advertisements.
He emphasized that even those organizations that have not completed empanelment formalities should be supported, underscoring the need to protect press freedom and ensure the safety of reporters. (JKNS
