At Kashmir University, the event was attended by the Dean Students Welfare, a large number of students, and Cultural Officer Kashmir University, Shahid Ali Khan. Similar performances at Eidgah and Batamaloo also drew large crowds of spectators, who highly appreciated the efforts of the Cultural Academy and lauded the artists for their compelling performances.

Among those present on the occasion were Asadullah Wani (Cultural Officer, Academy), Zahoor Ahmad War, Ultaf Rasheed, and other officials of the Academy.

The main objective of these street plays was to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and to convey the message that “Drugs lead to destruction, while life is precious — nurture it, don’t ruin it.”

The Cultural Academy has announced that similar awareness-oriented street performances will continue to be organized in other parts of Srinagar in the coming days to strengthen the collective fight against drug abuse.
