During the concluding ceremony at the Central Temple also known as the Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni the Lieutenant Governor addressed revered monks and devotees, stating that while the relics will return to India, Lord Buddha’s enduring presence in Kalmykia will continue to guide seekers toward enlightenment.

“The exposition of holy relics has deepened the spiritual connect and will forever serve as a source of peace, ideals, and inspiration for generations. The last week has been historic, filled with blessings for devotees and the people of Kalmykia,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

Calling for compassion and harmony, the LG urged humanity to build “a world full of kindness, free from suffering and discrimination, and rooted in wisdom.” He emphasized that the teachings of Lord Buddha offer a timeless roadmap toward peace and equality.

In his address, Sinha said that the cultural and spiritual exchange between India and Russia remains a high priority, reflecting their shared belief in peace, spiritual ethos, and compassionate living.

“In today’s fast-paced world, Buddha’s message is a guiding light for humanity. His teachings on compassion, non-violence, and purity of mind can bridge divides and foster universal brotherhood. Spiritual salvation is the greatest treasure for humankind this is what India, the land of Lord Buddha, has taught the world,” the LG said.

Concluding his remarks, Sinha urged seekers to internalize Buddha’s wisdom: “Spiritual experience cannot be borrowed; it must be lived. Be a Light unto Yourself look within, for the light and pure awareness are within you.” (JKNS)
