Srinagar, Oct 18 (JKNS): The three-day interstate cultural festival organized by the Delphic Council of Jammu and Kashmir concludes with grandeur, warmth, and an unforgettable display of artistic unity.
Artists and the Festival was inagurated by Sh. Sunil Kumar Sharm, Leader of the opposition and former Minister,J&K in which Sh. Sham Lal Sharma, MLA North, Jammu and Former Minister J&K, Sh. Ahsan Pardesi, MLA Lal Chowk , Srinagar and Sh. Mohan Lal Bhagat, MLA Akhnoor were the Guest of the Honor of the occasion whereas , Sh. Brij Mohan Sharma-IFS, Principal Secretary, Department of Culture, J&K were the Special Guests.
The Artists from Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Assam gathered under one roof to celebrate the shared soul of India through music, dance, and dialogue.
From the very beginning, the event radiated joy and reverence the lighting of the lamp, the Isband ceremony, and welcome address by Er. Ashok Singh, President of the Delphic Council of J&K, set the stage for an inspiring journey of cultural exchange across the Nation.
The opening day saw mesmerizing performances including Santoor Vadan by Umar Majeed and Party, Kashmiri Sufiyana Mousiqee by Ustad Mohd. Yaqoob Shaikh, and Kalbeliya dance by Talib Khan and a group from Rajasthan.
The Ghoomar of Haryana and the Kud Dance from Jammu, J&K filled the air with colour and cheer. The audience was captivated by every rhythm that echoed across the valley.
The second day was that of the 200 children who were the centre of attraction for the painting competition on the theme of water was a vivid picture of India’s diverse cultures & heritage and the students were distributed the Participation Certificates by the Delphic Council of Jammu and Kashmir.
The second day bloomed with the theme “How Interstate Cultural Exchange Can Act as a Bridge Between J&K and the rest of the Country for Bringing Tourism and Peace in J&K.”
This enlightening session was addressed by Mrs. Vijay Puri, Vice President, Delphic Council of J&K, Mr. Waheed Jeelani,National Awardee from Kashmir, Ms. Naseem Akhtar, Senior Member of the Delphic Council and Mr. Ramesh Chander, JKAS (Retd.).
The speakers beautifully expressed how Art when shared across borders, becomes the language of peace and the heartbeat of humanity.
Following the discussion, a dazzling lineup of performances turned in the afternoon into a celebration of unity with Gojri by Sadaqat Ali and Party (JKAACL), Rajasthani Chari Dance by Talib Khan and Group (NZCC), Bihu from of North East (JKAACL), Rouf by the Kashmir girls group (JKAACL), and the energetic Phag Dance of Haryana by Javid Haryanavi and Group (NZCC).
Each act symbolized the flow of traditions that roap in the nation together.
The third and final day stood as the festival’s crown jewel. A warm welcome by Er. Ashok Singh was followed by heartfelt addresses from Jenab Tariq Hameed Karra, MLA Central Shelteng and Former Minister, J&K. The audience was enchanted by the Dogri Dance by Natya Roots, the soulful Flute and Mouth Organ recital by Rakesh Anand, Jagdeep Singh, Jagjit S. Ishar, and Rajnish Sharma, and the folk singing by Dr. Deepali Wattal and her group.
As the curtains fell, applause turned into gratitude and celebration. The Delphic Council of J&K received heartfelt appreciation from Sh. Brij Mohan Sharma-IFS, Principal Secretary Department of Culture for creating a living bridge of art, culture, and peace reminding everyone that when music, colour, and compassion meet, borders fade and humanity shines brighter.
