“Terrorism is breathing its last in J&K. The peace has enabled unprecedented development and greater prosperity in people’s lives. Security has strengthened across the country, left-wing extremism has been dismantled, and India is witnessing a new era of growth driven by rapid economic progress,” Sinha remarked.

The Lieutenant Governor praised J&K Police, Army and CAPFs for eliminating terror support networks and preventing cross-border infiltration. He stressed the need for intelligence-based operations and adopting a comprehensive strategy to meet emerging internal security challenges.

Sinha also appreciated the role of Jammu and Kashmir Police in creating a fearless atmosphere for citizens to live and work.

Highlighting the significance of sports, the Lieutenant Governor said it nurtures courage, unity, friendship, and equality while building the character of youth. “Sports is the universal language of harmony and inclusivity. Events like the All India Police Judo Cluster celebrate Unity in Diversity and reflect India’s rich cultural and social ethos,” he said.

The LG urged youth to channel their energy and talent for the nation’s service, cultivating qualities of compassion and resilience.

The event is hosting more than 2,000 athletes from across the country, competing in Judo, Wushu, Pencak Silat, Taekwondo and Karate, under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
