This partnership focuses on providing comprehensive, affordable, and reliable healthcare for journalists throughout the Kashmir valley. By adopting CGHS cash rates, the initiative aims to lessen the financial burden of medical treatments.

Furthermore, the NABH accreditation of Paras Health ensures that high-quality standards are maintained in healthcare services.

Paras Health Srinagar is already empanelled with CGHS across its departments and holds a certification under tax exemption (17/28).

With cutting-edge infrastructure and a skilled team of professionals, it has positioned itself as a premier healthcare provider in the region.

According to the MoU, journalists and their dependents will have access to all procedures at CGHS cash rates, though the Mother and Child Department will be excluded; a special package has been created for this.

The agreement emphasises transparency in billing, streamlined access to services, and adherence to CGHS guidelines.

Meanwhile, the Press Club of Kashmir plans to hold a medical camp in collaboration with Srinagar Paras Hospital at the Club’s Amira Kadal premises on October 8, 2025.

The hospital will offer several top specialists in fields like cardiology, general medicine, ophthalmology, and orthopaedics.

Various medical tests, including ECGs and blood sample tests, will be provided during the camp, which will start at 11 AM. Members of the print, electronic, and social media are encouraged to attend and ensure that they and their families receive thorough medical check-ups on that dat, reads the statement. (JKNS
