Kupwara: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, Thursday chaired a detailed review meeting to finalize preparations for the upcoming ‘Sewa Parv’ celebrations.
The fortnight-long event, scheduled from September 17 to October 2, 2025, will be observed across the Union Territory.
Activities under the ‘Sewa Parv’ will be carried out on identified themes including Cleanliness Drives & Environmental Action, Education-Focused Initiatives, Engagement with Elderly & Vulnerable Sections, Health & Nutrition Initiatives, Awareness & Capacity Building Workshops, Cultural Activities and Public outreach campaigns.
The meeting outlined a comprehensive schedule of activities across all identified theme areas. Various line departments presented their proposed action plan for Sewa Parv with special focus on greater community participation.
Discussions were also held regarding activities planned under ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan’ campaign to be organised from 17th September to 2nd October 2025 emphasizing women’s health and empowerment as well as Poshan Maah.
DC emphasised on visible, impactful, and sustained actions by departments with special focus on improvement in key performance indicators during the campaign.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Kupwara, Mufti Fareed ud Din; ADC Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Khan; SDM Lolab, ACD, CMO, CEO Kupwara and other concerned officers.
