Arrangements for celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), Friday following reviewed

DC B’la reviews arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)
Baramulla: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, Friday chaired a meeting at the DC office meeting hall here to review and finalize arrangements for the upcoming Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations in the district.
During the meeting, DC directed all ADCs and SDMs to visit shrines and religious places within their respective jurisdictions to take a firsthand appraisal of arrangements.
He emphasized conducting a special sanitation drive around shrines and congregation sites, besides ensuring adequate transport and traffic management, deployment of fire tenders, and illumination.
He further directed the concerned officers to keep dewatering pumps ready and carry out defogging spray at all major congregation sites, especially in view of the recent rainfall and instances of water logging, which may otherwise lead to the spread of water-borne diseases.
DC instructed the concerned authorities to undertake repair and maintenance of approach roads leading to shrines to facilitate smooth movement of devotees.
Moreover, Minga Sherpa stressed on putting in place foolproof security arrangements in and around shrines and major congregation sites, in close coordination with the police and other enforcement agencies, to ensure peaceful and hassle-free observance of the occasion.
To ensure public health facilities, DC directed the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to deploy dedicated medical teams, along with ambulances, at major congregation sites for providing on-the-spot medical assistance to devotees.
He also directed Executive Engineer KPDCL to ensure uninterrupted power supply across all shrines and congregation sites during the celebrations.
In addition, DC directed Tehsildars, SHOs and other concerned officers to conduct intensive market checking in their respective jurisdictions to curb profiteering and ensure availability of essential commodities at government-approved rates during the festive days.
DC urged all departments to work in close coordination and ensure that devotees face no inconvenience during the auspicious occasion.

DC Kulgam reviews arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations
Kupwara: A meeting of officers and members of local management committees was Friday held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, at Mini Secretariat Kulgam to review the arrangements for the upcoming celebrations of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).
DC issued a slew of directions for smooth and peaceful Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebrations in the district. He directed officers to ensure all requisite facilities including safe drinking water, sanitation, medical care, uninterrupted power supply, adequate transport services, and parking facilities for devotees.
Fire & Emergency department was instructed to station fire tenders at shrines where large congregations are expected.
Municipal authorities were directed to put in place proper sanitation measures well in advance at shrines and Khankahas, particularly at Ziyarat Shareef Kulgam, Gufbal, Yaroo Hazratbal, Chimmer, Kund, and other prominent locations.
DC also stressed on intensifying market checking to regulate prices and maintain quality of essential commodities.
ARTO was tasked to ensure smooth transport facilities and proper route management across the district, while the CMO was instructed to make available adequate medical facilities and ambulances at key places.
DC instructed all departments to put in place elaborate arrangements across the district to ensure smooth celebrations of Eid Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) across the district.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Viqar Ahmad Girri; JDP, Malik Suhail; ACR, ACD, SDM D.HPora, Exen Jal Shakti, CMO, Tehsildars and other officers.

Arrangements for celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), Friday following reviewed at Kupwara
Kupwara: On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikanth Suse, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad convened a meeting here Friday to review arrangements made for the celebrations of Eid Milad- un-Nabi (SAW) on Sep-5.
Addressing the meeting, ADC stressed upon all the officers to be more active and responsive on ground, work with added zeal and enthusiasm, and ensure availability of all essential amenities to the people during the festival days.
ADC instructed concerned officers for providing all requisite facilities including safe drinking water, sanitation, medical care facilities, uninterrupted power supply, adequate transport facilities and parking places to the devotees.
CMO Kupwara was directed to deploy medical teams at Shahwali Muqam shrine where large congregations in view of Eid Milad- un-Nabi (SAW) and Friday following are expected, similarly the Fire and Emergency department was directed to deploy fire tenders.
Regarding sanitation, ACP Kupwara, EO MC Kupwara and EO MC Handwara were directed to ensure cleanliness and proper sanitation in and around prominent religious places and market places in Kupwara, Handwara, besides conducting cleanliness drives in all villages involving locals.
Regarding market checking, ADC directed the concerned officers of civil and police departments to intensify the market inspections in towns, tehsil headquarters and block headquarters of the district and put strict vigil on profiteering, hoarding and other unfair trade activities.
In addition, ARTO Kupwara and DySP Traffic were directed to deploy more traffic police personnel in Kupwara town and ensure better transport facilities and route plans across the district besides special service to and fro from Kupwara/Handwara to Hazratbal.
Gulzar Ahmad also reviewed availability of food supply/essential commodities, security and other relevant arrangements.
Meeting was attended by ASP Kupwara, Tehsildars, DySP Handwara and other concerned officers.
