Budgam, Aug 12 (JKNS): The second youth injured in a recent electrocution incident at Ichgam in central Kashmir’s Budgam district has succumbed to his injuries, nearly ten days after the tragedy.
An official told news agency JKNS that, The incident occurred when the two victims, identified as Zeeshan Ahmad Nayak, son of Ghulam Rasool Nayak, and Adfar Imtiyaz, son of Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, came in contact with electricity while bathing in a local spring.
Zeeshan had died on the spot and was declared brought dead at District Hospital Budgam while Adfar was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar in critical condition, where he remained under treatment before passing away earlier today.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation started. (JKNS)
