Qazigund, Aug 11 (JKNS): In a spirited display of patriotism, the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Department Qazigund organized a Tiranga Rally on Monday as part of the ongoing Independence Day celebrations.
The rally commenced with a vibrant Paidal Rally (foot march) from Railway Station Qazigund and culminated at Kurigam, drawing enthusiastic participation from all sections of the local community.
The event was spearheaded by Ms. Firdousa Akther, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Qazigund, alongside project supervisors, Anganwadi workers, and numerous ICDS beneficiaries. Participants proudly carried the national flag and chanted patriotic slogans, creating an atmosphere filled with unity and national pride.
Officials lauded the overwhelming community involvement, emphasizing that such grassroots initiatives play a crucial role in fostering a deep sense of belonging and patriotism among citizens.
Speaking on the occasion, organizers stressed the significance of community-led events in promoting the spirit of Independence and encouraging people to imbibe these values in their everyday lives.
