Jammu, Aug 8 (JKNS): Director General of CRPF Gyanendra Pratap Singh on Thursday paid heartfelt tributes to the paramilitary personnel who lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Udhampur while returning from operational duty.
In a solemn ceremony held in Jammu as per news agency JKNS, Singh honoured the sacrifices of the deceased personnel and expressed deep sorrow over the unfortunate incident.
CRPF DG is also scheduled to visit the Military Hospital Udhampur to meet the injured personnel who are currently undergoing treatment.
The accident occurred when a CRPF vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in Basantgarh area of Udhampur district, resulting in two casualties and injuries.
Senior officers of the force and civil administration were present during the wreath-laying ceremony held in tribute to the fallen soldiers. (JKNS)
