Srinagar: Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League 2025 got off to a spectacular start with a thrilling opening match between Athwas India XI and Greenend Heroes FC at the TRC Turf Ground. In a high-energy contest that showcased exceptional football talent, Greenend Heroes FC emerged victorious with a 2-1 win.
The match was officially inaugurated by Tanvir Sadiq, MLA Zadibal, and Mr. Irfan Shahmiri, Chairman of Downtown Heroes FC and CHINAR International, in a vibrant opening ceremony that set the tone for the tournament.
Both teams displayed remarkable skill and intensity throughout the match. Hyder Yousuf was the standout performer for Greenend Heroes FC, scoring a brilliant brace to secure the win. Ateeb Dar pulled one back for Athwas India XI with a fine goal, but it wasn’t enough to overturn the result. The post-match presentation ceremony honoured individual brilliance on the field:

The awards were presented in the presence of dignitaries including Ms. Anisa Nabi, Chief Sports Officer; Mr. Wasim Khan from Khybe Cements; and Mr. Irfan Gujju from IA Multiventure.
