Committee Formed in Udhampur for Redressal of Militancy-Affected Victims’ Cases

NOKs Asked to Submit Documents Within 7 Days; ACR Udhampur to Supervise Process

Udhampur, July 4 (JKNS): The District Administration Udhampur has constituted a committee under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), Dr. Umesh Shan (JKAS), to ensure timely redressal of all pending cases of militancy-affected victims and facilitate disbursement of benefits under SRO-43 of 1994.

According to the official order issued by deputy commissioner Udhampur, the committee includes officials Anil Sharma (9419161802), Mohan Lal (9596254584), and Mulk Raj (9682363939). The order was issued following directions from the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir dated July 1, 2025.

“All concerned Next of Kin (NOK) of deceased militancy-affected victims of District Udhampur must submit the required documents to the DC Office Udhampur (Relief Section) within a period of seven days,” the order reads.

For assistance or clarification, the administration has provided a dedicated landline number: 01992-272727, along with mobile contacts of the committee members.

The committee will compile a list of all eligible victims and their NOKs and submit a detailed report for further action. The Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai (IAS), has directed all concerned officials to ensure compliance and cooperation in this matter. (JKNS)
