Srinagar : Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo Tuesday felicitated champion students from various Government Institutions of Kashmir valley who have excelled in the prestigious JEE and NEET examinations this year.
Principal Secretary, School Education department, Ram Niwas Sharma; Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N Itoo; Secretary JKBOSE, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh; Principals, CEOs, faculty members, NEER/JEE achievers, parents and large number of students were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Sakeena Itoo lauded the hard work and perseverance of the students and acknowledged the crucial role played by government school teachers in nurturing talent from the grassroots. “These young achievers are not only a source of pride for their families but also a beacon of hope for the entire region. Their success proves that with dedication and access to quality education, anything is possible”, Minister Sakeena stated.
She emphasized on the need for continued academic mentorship of government school going children, especially from rural and underprivileged backgrounds to ensure equal opportunities for all.
While appreciating the JEE/NEET achievers, the Minister advised them to take this success forward with your near and dear ones as well as fellow classmates so that they can get inspiration from your success. She also appreciated the teachers and parents of achievers for their contribution in the success of these students.
The Minister on the occasion, also called upon the department to conduct regular capacity building programmes for the teachers as per the demand and evolving needs of education system.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Secretary, School Education department congratulated the achievers for their remarkable success in JEE/NEET exa He advised the students to be the flag bearers of inspiration for the young school going students.
In his welcome address, Director School Education Kashmir lauded the hard work and determination of the achievers, emphasizing that their success is a testament to the improving quality of education in government schools.
He also acknowledged the dedication of teachers and the various support programs launched by the department to bridge the educational gap and promote competitive exam preparation among underprivileged students.
The Minister, on the occasion, also distributed tablets among the achievers for their remarkable achievements. Several teachers, nodal officers and other staff was also felicitated by the Minister on the occasion.
