DC Shopian visits Kanjiuller block, inspects dev. works & educational institutions

Shopian: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta Tuesday conducted an inspection of various ongoing developmental works being executed by the Rural Development Department (RDD) in the Kanjiuller block.
DC visited Kanjiuller and Pudsoo Panchayat halqas and inspected road network and drainage projects.
He also took stock of the physical progress of the works at village Kanjiuller, and interacted with field functionaries and locals. He also assessed the quality of execution on the ground and issued instructions for expediting the pace of ongoing developmental activities to ensure timely completion.
He stressed BDO for maintaining transparency, ensuring geo-tagging of works, and adhering to quality standards in all works under execution in the area.
DC was accompanied by ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone, ACR, BDO and other officers from the RDD and other line departments during the inspection.
Later, DC also made a surprise inspection of GHSS, Kanjiuller and took stock of basic amenities, especially potable drinking water facilities being provided to the students. He also emphasized the maintenance of cleanliness in and around the school and interacted with students and staff for better education outcomes.
