Budgam : As part of the ongoing Dharti Aabha Abhiyan, a unique outreach initiative aimed at achieving cent percent saturation of 25 flagship schemes across 17 departments, a Gram Sabha was held on Tuesday for the third consecutive day at Panchayat Ladden, Block Nagam of district Budgam.
All 17 line departments actively participated in the Gram Sabha, engaging with the local population and highlighting the benefits and eligibility criteria of various central and UT-sponsored welfare schemes, particularly those catering to the tribal population and other marginalised sections of society.
The outreach initiative was met with a warm reception by the public, who appreciated the door-to-door and Panchayat-level campaign aimed at ensuring that no eligible beneficiary is left out. Notably, a surge in enrolment for multiple Government welfare schemes was observed during the event.
The day-long programme featured a range of activities by all line departments, with officers and field-level staff ensuring active public engagement.
The event reinforced the administration’s commitment to bridging the last-mile gap in scheme delivery through community involvement and participatory governance.
In district Budgam, Dharti Aabha Abhiyan will be conducted across all tribal Panchayats of the district in a mission mode, ensuring that the vision of inclusive and targeted development reaches every citizen at the grassroots level.
