DIPR encourages students’ participation in anti-drug campaign, Hosts poster making competition, cultural awareness event

Udhampur : The Cultural Unit, Department of Information & Public Relations Jammu Thursday organised a painting (Poster Making) Competition on the theme of ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ here at Indira Memorial Higher secondary School to raise awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
The programme was graced by the Principal Bhagwan Dass as the Chief Guest. Esteemed judges for the event were Vishal Sharma, Ravi Sharma and Suresh Kumar, Cultural Assistant who carefully evaluated the paintings of the young and aspiring participants.
As many as 10 students participated in the poster making competition. The first prize was bagged by Swasti Singh, second by Parul and third by Dhairya, while consolation prizes were given to Ruqayy Akther and Janvi Sharma.
Meanwhile, a Cultural Awareness Programme titled ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ (Say No to Drugs) was held at Government Model Higher Secondary School Panchari.
The aim of the initiative was to enhance awareness regarding the detrimental effects of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free community. Artists from the Cultural Unit, Jammu captivated the audience with thematic songs, effectively demonstrating the repercussions of drug addiction on individuals, families, and society at large.
