J&K Govt Hikes DA for Pensioners to 252%, Arrears from Jan to Be Paid in June

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has revised the Dearness Allowance (DA) for government pensioners and family pensioners from 246% to 252% of basic pension/family pension, effective from January 1, 2025.

As per an order issued by the government, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, it reads, “In continuation to Government Order No. 88-F of 2025 dated 13.03.2025, it is hereby ordered that Government Pensioners/Family Pensioners continuing to draw their Pension/Family Pension as per 6th Pay Commission shall be paid Dearness Allowance from 246% to 252% of Basic Pension/Basic Family Pension, effective from January 1, 2025.”

“The arrears on account of additional installment of DA from January, 2025 to May, 2025 shall be paid in cash in the month of June, 2025 and shall form part of the monthly Pension/Family Pension from June, 2025 onwards,” it reads.

“The payment on account of Dearness Allowance involving a fraction of a rupee shall be rounded off to the next higher rupee,” the order further states. (JKNS)
