ADDC Shopian reviews progress of RDD, MGNREGA works

SHOPIAN: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone today conducted a comprehensive review of the Rural Development Department (RDD) with a detailed assessment carried out block-wise and panchayat-wise.

Assistant Commissioner Development Shopian, Manzoor Ahmad Mir and Executive Engineer REW Shopian, Qaisar Ahmad attended the meeting.

The meeting witnessed active participation from field functionaries including VLWs, GRSs, TAs and JEs, who were thoroughly briefed and held accountable for ongoing works under MGNREGA and various other schemes. Besides, Block Development Officers, Assistant Engineers, Accounts Assistants Panchayats and MIS Operators from across the district also attended the session.

Key areas such as NMMS attendance, physical attendance sheets and project estimations were reviewed in detail, progress under the District Capex Plan was also scrutinized, with instructions issued for the prompt submission of work plans and simultaneous initiation of estimation processes.

ADDC emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and ensuring that all developmental efforts are directed towards public benefit.
