BGSBU to Observe Summer Vacations from June 1 to July 15, Nursing College Exempted

Rajouri: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri, has announced summer vacations for all PG/UG/Diploma teaching programmes, excluding the Nursing College, Kishtwar, which will be notified separately.

According to the official notification issued by the Dean Academic Affairs a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, the university will remain on vacation from 01-06-2025 to 15-07-2025. All Associate Deans have been directed to ensure school-wise rotation of faculty instead of the department-wise rotation. For the School of Material Sciences and Nanotechnology, which has limited faculty, the schedule will align with the School of Engineering and Technology for coordinated rotation.

Before proceeding on vacation, the Associate Deans must issue a roster duty notice to faculty members and send copies to the Dean Academic Affairs, Registrar, and Controller of Examinations for coordination and records.

All I/c Directors, Principals, HoDs, and Coordinators have been instructed to ensure no teacher proceeds on vacation without completing all examination-related duties and securing outstation leave permission, which has been termed mandatory.

Teachers required to stay for exam work during vacations will be eligible for Detention Leave as per university rules. However, such cases must be justified and recommended by their respective Controlling Officers with written application and supporting reasons. (JKNS)
