Govt Reconstitutes Implementation Committee for Agristack in J&K

Srinagar, May 29 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday reconstituted the Implementation Committee for Digital Agriculture (Agristack).

According to the order issued by GAD JK a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, the committee will be chaired by the Administrative Secretary of the Agriculture Production Department, with 13 other key members from departments including Information Technology, Revenue, Rural Development, and NIC.

The reconstitution modifies the earlier order issued in 2022, aiming to strengthen coordination and oversight of digital agriculture initiatives in the Union Territory. Officials from the J&K e-Governance Agency, Economics and Statistics, Land Records, and Agriculture Departments (Jammu and Kashmir divisions) are part of the committee.

The Project Director of Agristack, serving as Special Secretary in the Agriculture Production Department, is also included. The Director Agriculture Jammu will serve as the Member Secretary of the committee.

The reconstituted panel is expected to accelerate the implementation of Agristack for improved agricultural governance, planning, and services through digital infrastructure. (JKNS)
