Chennai: A 60-year-old man, who tested positive while undergoing treatment for acute gastroenteritis and several dehydration, died at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital (RGGGH).
This was the first death reported in Tamil Nadu where 69 cases were reported till date.
A statement issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine on Wednesday night said, Covid was an accidental finding.
It attributed the cause of the death due to complications of chronic kidney failure along with other existing comorbidities and Covid was an accidental finding.
