Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan; Cricket Tournament concludes in Kulgam

Srinagar: Closing ceremony of Kulgam Police Cricket tournament held at Mini Stadium Kulgam with great enthusiasm. The Tournament was organised by Police under the aegis of CAP-2024-25, in which different teams across the district participated.
Senior Superintendent Police Kulgam Sahil Sarangal graced the occasion with his presence to boost the morale of participants. Besides, DySP DAR Kulgam and other officers of Kulgam Police were also present on the occasion.
The final match of the cricket tournament was played between Thunder Strikers and Kulgam Tuskers. While bating first, Kulgam Tuskers set a target of 71 Runs. Chasing the target, Thunder strikers without losing any wicket achieved the target easily. Junaid Ahmad of Thunder strikers was awarded Man of the Match for his match winning performance in grand finale and Nadeem Ahmad Bhat of Thunder strikers was awarded as man of the series for his best overall performance throughout the tournament.
On the occasion, SSP Kulgam addressing the participants and spectators said that organizing such sports tournaments is a step to promote sports culture especially in youth. The aim of organising such events is to find young, energetic and outstanding talent who in future will represent state and country. He also interacted with participants who thanked SSP Kulgam for organizing such events.
At the end of the final ceremony, both Winning and runner up teams were awarded cash prizes and trophies. Large number of people across the district witnessed the event and expressed their gratitude towards Kulgam police.
