Continuing its uncompromising stance against the drug menace, Sopore Police have booked three chronic narcotics offenders under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (PIT NDPS). The trio had been persistently involved in drug peddling despite multiple FIRs and arrests, posing a serious threat to public health and safety.
The individuals booked under PIT NDPS are:
1.Bilal Ahmad Lone, S/O Abdul Rashid Lone, R/O Lorihama Rafiabad.
2.Jameel Ahmad Dar, S/O Ghulam Mohammad Dar, R/O Saripara Rafiabad
3.Mohammad Altaf Dar, S/O Ghulam Qadir Dar, R/O Mumkakh Batpora Sopore
These habitual offenders had developed a consistent pattern of narcotics trafficking and continued their activities despite repeated legal action. After detailed dossier preparation and confirmation by the competent authority, all three have been detained under the stringent provisions of the PIT NDPS Act to prevent further harm to the society.
This action is part of Sopore Police’s broader crackdown on the drug ecosystem in Sopore PD. Sopore police remain committed to protecting youth from the scourge of drugs and ensuring a safer, drug-free Sopore
