DC B’gam reviews progress of works under Distt Mineral Fund

DC calls for timely completion of projects under Health, Education, PDD and Jal Shakti sectors

Budgam: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, AkshayLabrooon Thursday chaired a meeting of District Mineral Fund (DMF) and reviewed the status of works approved under PradhanMantriKhanijKshetraKalyanYojna (PMKKKY) in the district.
DC reviewed in detail the status of works approved under DMF in the areas with high priority and other priority sectors.
Series of developmental works are approved which cover vital sectors including health, education, power development, and jalshakti, all aiming at strengthening public infrastructure and improving service delivery across the district.
Key works approved under the health sector include the provision of hotline connectivity at CHC Kremshore, CHC Chattergam, PHC Soibugh, PHC Ompora, PHC Khag and CHC Pakherpora, of which Hotline at CHC Pakherpora stands completed.
In addition, procurement of critical medical equipment such as digital X-ray cassettes, biochemistry analysers, deep freezers, plasma expressers, autoclaves and microscopes has been sanctioned and allotted for procurement for District Hospital Budgam.
Under the Jal Shakti department, the procurement of water tankers of 9000 ltr and 6000 ltr capacities will address water supply needs in the district.
In the Education sector, the approved works including construction of a toilet facility at Primary School Gopalpora is nearing completion and provision of electricity at Government schools in Khan MohallaKuzwera and DounkalBagh Sail are also under progress.
The Power Development Department (KPDCL) has been allotted a buffer stock of 15 (100 KVA) transformers which will be dedicated to the public in the upcoming week. This will strengthen power infrastructure and ensure timely replacements during exigencies.
The DC, while reviewing the status of approved works, emphasized that all the projects are completed well on time.
He directed the concerned departments to ensure immediate allotment of tenders if pending and initiate procurement processes, with strict adherence to timelines.
He stressed that there must be no delays at any stage of execution and that timely completion of these works is critical to ensuring outcomes on the ground on time.
The meeting was attended by Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Budgam, CEO, CMO, CPO, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti, KPDCL, REW, MS Budgam and other concerned officials of the committee.
