Karnah Kupwara: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), District Kupwara, is witnessing a vibrant wave of sporting enthusiasm as Inter-School Zonal Level Kabaddi competitions are being conducted across various educational zones. These events aim to promote physical fitness, discipline, and sportsmanship among young students at the grassroots level.
Zone Tangdhar today hosted the Inter-School Kabaddi competition for the Under-14 boys category at Government Degree College (GDC) Tangdhar. The Incharge Principal of GDC Tangdhar graced the occasion as the chief guest and lauded the DYSS for organizing such student-centric events that nurture talent from the grassroots.
In the Under-14 boys category, GBHS Khowarpara clinched victory in the final against UPS Nowpora by a margin of 12 points. A total of 24 schools participated in this event. Competitions for the Under-17 and Under-19 categories are scheduled to be conducted at the same venue the following day.
Incharge ZPEO Tangdhar, Mr. Raja Mushtaq Ahmed Khan , appreciated the efforts of all participating teams and presented the winners with trophies and medals.
