The committee has been tasked with formulating a comprehensive logistic policy for the Union Territory, enhancing cargo movement, and developing infrastructure like Transport Nagars, dry ports, and warehousing hubs. It will also identify gaps in the current logistics ecosystem and propose multi-modal strategies to increase efficiency in both domestic and EXIMS trade.

Furthermore, the committee will explore the adoption of the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan to ensure coordinated project planning, especially for last-mile connectivity. The initiative is expected to streamline logistics, reduce operational costs, and position Jammu & Kashmir as a key player in the regional supply chain landscape. (JKNS)
