DC Kulgam Calls for coordination for smooth, efficient conduct of Mela Kheer Bhawani

Kulgam: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan on Friday chaired a comprehensive meeting with officers to review and finalize the arrangements for the smooth conduct of Mela Kheer Bhawani at Manzgam and Mata Tripur Sundari, Khanbarni, Devsar.
The meeting focused on key aspects including security arrangements, availability of essentials, accommodation facilities, traffic management, medical services, sanitation, and uninterrupted power and water supply.
DC emphasized the importance of ensuring that all necessary facilities are in place to enable devotees to perform religious rituals with ease and comfort. He directed officers from KPDCL and Jal Shakti to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply at both locations during the Mela.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) was instructed to establish medical camps at both sites. Executive Officers (EOs) were directed to ensure proper sanitation, while the ARTO and traffic authorities were asked to put in place a smooth and efficient traffic management plan.
Additionally, concerned departments were instructed to install solar lighting at the venues. The R&B Department was directed to make arrangements for spacious and waterproof tents to accommodate devotees.
Highlighting the need for coordinated efforts, the DC stressed the importance of close inter-departmental coordination to ensure the Mela is conducted smoothly and efficiently.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Viqar Ahmad Giri; ACR, Tehsildar, Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti and R&B, EOs, DSP-HQ and other officers besides the president and members of the management committee also participated in the meeting.
