Rajouri, May 16 (JKNS): A 23-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Rather Mandi Bridge in Daraj area of Tehsil Budhal in Rajouri district on Friday morning.

An official told news agency JKNS that early this morning, some passersby noticed a body lying near the roadside close to Rather Mandi Bridge and immediately alerted the police,” official said.

Police officials reached the spot soon after and took custody of the body. The body has been shifted for medico-legal formalities, they said.

The deceased has been identified as Zaheen Shah, son of Azam Shah, a resident of Daraj, Budhal. According to locals, Zaheen had left home on Wednesday night but did not return, official said.

Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation into the cause of death is underway. (JKNS)
