CS visits Dr Thapa’s home to pay homage

Jammu: In a solemn gesture of solidarity and respect, Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, on Monday visited the residence of Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa (JKAS), Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty due to cross-border shelling in Rajouri.
Expressing profound grief over the untimely loss, the Chief Secretary extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, acknowledging the officer’s exceptional dedication and sacrifice. He emphasized that Dr. Thapa’s service to the community and his unwavering commitment towards his responsibilities will always be remembered with deep respect and admiration.
On the occasion, Dulloo observed that his service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. The government stands firmly with his family in this hour of grief, he added.
The Chief Secretary assured the family of all possible support from the administration, reiterating the commitment to stand by the family during this difficult time. He also interacted with the family members, offering words of comfort and assurance of continued support.
Dulloo also said that the tragic loss of Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa has not only created a void in the administrative fraternity but has also left a lasting impact on all those who knew him for his dedicated service and kind nature. His contributions towards development of Rajouri and his selfless service will always be remembered as a testament to his commitment and courage.
