GMC Rajouri to Withhold Salaries of Absentees Since May 7

Absentees Will Face Strict Action: GMC Rajouri Principal

Rajouri: Government Medical College & Associated Hospital Rajouri has ordered that salaries of staff members who remained absent from duties without biometric attendance since May 7, 2025, shall not be released.

According to the order issued by Principal Prof. (Dr) A S Bhatia, a copy of which lies with JKNS reads, this decision applies to faculty, consultants, senior and junior residents, staff nurses, paramedical and technical staff, ministerial staff, MTS, interns, and others who have allegedly fled from duties amid recent tensions.

The order reads, “The said period shall be treated as unauthorized absent, and appropriate entries shall be made in their service records/service books in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.”
