Jammu: Police in Jammu on Monday said that a major fraud racket involving fake Government appointment orders was busted by Police Station Miran Sahib, leading to the arrest of a fraudster and the recovery of incriminating items.
In a statement issued from the District Police Office Police said that on May 2, 2025 a Case under FIR No. 58/2025 under Sections 318(3), 336(3), 336(4), 340(2) BNS was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib following which an investigation team, led by SHO Inspector Jai Paul Sharma and comprising Sub Inspector Ajesh Singh Jamwal and Asstt Sub Inspector Suneel Parihar (I/C BPP Kullian), arrested the accused Tej Bushan Sharma, S/o Late Jagdish Sharma, R/o Lower Gadi Garh.
Stating that multiple fake appointment orders, forged stamps, a computer desktop, and ₹2.5 lakh in cash were seized from the possession of the said accused Police in its statement further said that the operation was carried out under the overall supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu, Stating therein further that further investigation is going on to determine the full scope of the racket and potential beneficiaries or victims. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Jammu Police reiterated its commitment to act swiftly against criminal elements and ensure justice.
