Jammu : In line with the ongoing initiatives to deepen digital governance, Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu, Sher Singh, on Saturday chaired a meeting with various district officers to review and expedite the implementation of the e-Office platform across all Tehsil and Block-level offices in the district.
During the meeting, ADDC Sher Singh directed all departments to nominate dedicated Nodal Officers who will act as departmental points of contact for the rollout.
District Informatics Officer, who is also Senior Director IT, Jammu, Sanjeev Kapoor, provided an orientation on the e-Office platform’s features and scope. He outlined that nominated nodal officers will undergo structured training sessions, after which they will be responsible for training additional staff within their departments, facilitating comprehensive capacity building at every level.
The ADDC emphasised that the transition to e-Office is a major governance reform, not just a technological upgrade. “Implementing e-Office at the grassroots will boost transparency, efficiency and accountability, while streamlining inter-departmental coordination and public service delivery,” he said.
The meeting concluded with instructions for all departments to promptly nominate their nodal officers and coordinate with NIC for scheduling training.
