Anantnag: In the wake of the recent cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Minister Satish Sharma, accompanied by Hon’ble Member of Parliament Mian Altaf Sahb and Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly Ab. Majeed Larmi Sahb, today visited the Government Medical College (GMC) in Anantnag to meet the brave individuals injured in the attack.
The Minister described his interaction with the victims as a “heart-wrenching experience” that also served as a powerful reminder of the “courage and resilience” inherent in the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He assured the injured and their families that the government stands firmly by their side during this difficult time.
“All necessary medical care and support will be provided, and no effort will be spared in their recovery,” Minister Sharma stated. He also personally requested the GMC authorities to ensure the provision of proper care and all necessary treatment for the swift recovery of the injured.
In a strong message directed towards Pakistan, Minister Sharma asserted India’s unwavering stance against cross-border terrorism. “To Pakistan, let this be a clear and final message: India will not tolerate your continuous export of terror. The blood of innocents cries for justice, and we will respond with strength, not silence. Those behind this attack will be hunted down and dealt with decisively. Your attempts to destabilize peace in Jammu and Kashmir will fail every time.”
He emphasized that the attack was not merely an assault on a location but “an attack on peace, humanity, and the spirit of our nation.”
However, he affirmed the unwavering resolve of the people, stating, “Let it be known; we do not bend, we do not break. Our unity is our shield, and our resolve is unshakable.”
Minister Sharma concluded by offering his deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the attack. “Your pain is ours. And your strength inspires us to fight harder for peace, justice, and for a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
The visit underscores the government’s commitment to supporting the victims of the attack and its strong stance against terrorism, while also acknowledging the resilience and fortitude of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
